Jonathon Turner is going to be the death of me.

Maybe not the death of me…but my panties for sure! They seem to disintegrate the moment he touches me. Looks at me. Smiles at me. Talks to me.

It’s more than physical. He’s breaking through an impenetrable wall.

There’s a problem though—he’s younger than me.

Six. Years. Younger.

Let’s not forget he’s also one of my brother’s best friends.

Oh, the other problem I forgot to mention…

I never wanted to fall in love again.

But you know what they say….never say never.

I didn’t hear a word that the interior designer was saying. I was focused on the way Jonathon looked in those Wranglers. And his boots. And the freaking black cowboy hat that made his grey eyes stand out. I swallowed hard.

Jesus…could this guy get any hotter?

Jonathon caught my stare from across the room. When he smiled my panties nearly disintegrated. The man had never even touched me, and yet one look from him and I was damn near panting.

Yes, he could get hotter. Christ Almighty.

Before I could stop myself, my tongue ran over my dry lips. Jonathon’s brows rose and his boyishly handsome smile turned into a sexy-as-hell grin. When his eyes smoldered, my breath hitched.

I wiped my brow. Shit, is it hot in here?

Jonathon knew where my dirty little mind had taken me, and I was pretty damn sure his was going in the same direction. I closed my eyes and tried not to picture anything sexy, but failed. Me…up against the wall with him buried deep inside me, giving me a long overdue orgasm.

“Waylynn? Waylynn?” Ann’s voice pulled me from my naughty thoughts.

Popping my eyes open, I cleared my throat. “What? Huh?”

With a sweet smile, Ann repeated the question I had totally tuned out.

“The color scheme. Are you good with it?”

I frowned. What in the heck was she talking about? Color scheme? “Umm.”

The young woman waited patiently, while I stood there with my mouth open like an idiot.

“Color scheme?” I asked with a slight smile.

Ann laughed. “Did you even hear a word I said?”

My eyes darted to Jonathon. He was leaning against a desk in the middle of the room. It was the only piece of furniture that had been left by the previous owners of this space. His arms were now crossed over his massive chest, and he wore a shit-eating grin. Did the man know how freaking handsome he was? That sex appeal dripped off of him?

He winked, and I had to lock my knees to keep from falling.

Bastard.

He knew exactly where my mind had gone, because his was there as well.

Turning back to the interior decorator, I replied, “I’m so sorry. Jonathon was distracting me.”

One quick glance back and Jonathon’s smile vanished, replaced by a shocked expression. “Me?” he asked.

I nodded. “Yes. You.”

Ann was now staring at Jonathon. I could see by the look in her eyes and the way she chewed her lip that she was having similar thoughts. It was obvious by the way she was trying not to look in his direction while she talked. She was probably the same age as he was, and that pissed me off. Then again, I had to remind myself that Jonathon hadn’t been staring at Ann. He’d been staring at me.

“What did I do?” Jonathon asked.

I wanted to say that his hotness was making my panties wet, and the throbbing between my legs was making it hard to think, but I decided it was best to avoid the truth.

“That desk you’re leaning on. I keep wondering why the previous owner left it?”

Jonathon looked down at the desk as Ann asked, “Do you want to keep the desk? It would be beautiful refinished.”

I shrugged. “I’m not sure.”

Jonathon walked around it. “I’m sure we could put this to good use. I can come up with an idea or two.”

His head lifted and his eyes caught mine. I swore they turned as dark as the night sky. I swallowed, trying to ignore the pulse between my legs.

REVIEW

Another great story… Waylynn the older sister in the Parker clan; comes back to town broken and alone after her dreams are shattered finding out her husband was cheating on her. In true Parker style this headstrong, feisty lady 180’s her dream of being a dancer in New York in favour of opening a dance studio and teaching dance to the younger generation of the town she grew up in! Enter Jonathan, the hot as sin contractor who is also her bachelor brother Cord’s best friend… The fireworks between the two are instant and not easily contained which leads to hilarious scenes when all the Parker brothers find out!! This book is not without its drama and boy is it something I never saw coming but it so makes the story! If you’re looking for an outstanding series then I highly recommend this one 4 books so far and so far all 5-star reads!!

Review

This book was brilliant, I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I frankly found Eric to be a self-absorbed, womanizing arsehole but how wrong could I be. Yes, Eric a great looking man and has a gift of the gab with the ladies but Chaser sees him hit a wall and its in the shape of 2 little ladies.

When Jean walks into Dive Bar you don’t expect her to knock Eric’s socks off but that is exactly what she does. This story is fraught with troubles and people interfering but when trouble strikes in a screaming bundle of joy called Ada. Eric steps up and knocks the world around him on their arses. This was when I truly fell in love with Eric.

This book is in much the same vein as the other books and the supporting casts input is just as important in the way this book goes. There is a hell of a lot of shouting. Interfering and judging in this book and I kind of feel for Eric if I am honest. I am so pleased that Jean stands up for him. The pair of them spend the majority of this book in a state of denial. Which makes for a great read.

I laughed and smiled heaps through this book, Stage Dive Again make a great cameo. This book is fantastic and a huge recommend from me.

I’d been tricked. Betrayed.

After Andre and Jean ate their lunch, we headed outside to deal with her stuff. The cold wind suited my mood to perfection.

Talk about disappointed.

“Don’t lift that, it looks heavy,” I snapped.

Jean blinked. “It’s a pillow.”

“The world’s largest pillow ever. You can’t be too careful.” My gaze roamed over her swollen middle. “You’re . . .”

“Pregnant?” she asked with a voice dripping poison and sugar.

“Are you having trouble with the concept?”

“Absolutely not. I was just going to say huge, that’s all.”

She blew out an exasperated breath. “Thanks, Eric. That makes me feel so much better.”

“I just . . .”

“Don’t bother.” The woman turned back to her sensible, medium-sized SUV and got busy riffling through the contents. I was surprised she’d been able to squeeze into the driver’s seat.

Boxes and stuff took up almost every inch inside the vehicle. Each and every box seemed to have been neatly labeled with the contents.

The woman took her organization seriously. She looked over her shoulder. “You know, I can’t help noticing that Eric-the-smooth-moving-flirt has been suddenly replaced by Eric-the-awkward-jerk.”

“Well, you said you were single.” I folded my arms defensively across my chest.

“I am.”

And then there was an awkward silence.

“Yeah, but . . . I mean, in your condition . . .” I fumbled to a halt.

She turned, face all scrunched up. Like I was the one with the problem.

“Just hop out of the way so I can grab some boxes,” I said, voice gruff.

Still nothing from her. “It’s a second-story walk-up and you have a lot of stuff to get up there. You should be taking it easy.” Hands on hips, I tapped my black leather boot against the sidewalk, waiting her out. “Jean, I’m not trying to insult you. It’s the truth.”

She swore quietly, going back to fussing with the contents in the vehicle. I don’t think any woman has ever given me the silent treatment quite this quickly. Usually I’m good for at least a couple of hours after seeing them naked.

Man, I still couldn’t believe this was happening. God hated me or something. Pregnant women and me were enema. Anathema. Whatever. Now that I’d seen her out in the autumn light, however, she looked younger than I’d first guessed. Despite her tired eyes, her skin was smooth, soft looking. She was likely closer to her early twenties than mid.

“How old are you?” I asked.

“Why do you care?”

I shrugged one shoulder. “Just curious.”

“How old are you?”

“Nearly thirty.”

She sniffed. “I’m twenty-two.”

Young, like I’d thought. She was probably too immature for me, anyway.

“Come on, Jean. Let me get some of the boxes.”

Boyd ambled out of the Dive Bar, turning his head this way and that, looking up and down the street. I raised my hand and he started over in our direction. The big cook would make short work out of moving all this stuff. Behind us, Andre and Nell came out of the tenants’ entrance to the Bird Building. The place was a big brick building about a hundred years old. Just past the door was an entryway with stairs leading up to the second floor, followed by two empty shops, their windows covered in flyers about local events. Concerts and parades and shit. They’d been vacant for a while, unfortunately. Andre’s Guitar Den came next, then Pat’s tattoo parlor Inkaho, and the Dive Bar on the corner.

“Everything’s good to go. Alex and I gave it a cleaning last week just to be sure,” said Nell, smacking a kiss on Jean’s cheek.

“You’ll meet Alex later. She’s probably busy working or something now. She’s sort of a shut-in.”

“You two didn’t have to do that,” said Jean. “Thank you.”

“Anytime.”

Andre leaned against the SUV. “Your furniture got delivered yesterday too, so it’s all good to go.”

“Excellent,” said Jean. “I can’t wait to sleep in a decent bed again. Road trips when you’re seven months’ pregnant kind of suck.”

“I bet.”

“Who’s minding the kitchen?” I asked.

“Lydia will text Boyd if they need something,” said Nell.

“We’re only going to be a few feet away from the place.”

I frowned.

“I own the kitchen, Eric. Not you,” she said. “You’re in charge of the bar, that’s all.”

One of Jean’s eyebrows inched up slightly. So I might have implied that I was the sole owner. Shit happened.

I crossed my arms. “Fine. No need to bite my head off.”

“My best online friend just moved to town. We’ve been texting and skyping for months. She’s been an absolute rock for me through all the nerves of being pregnant again,” said Nell. “Stop messing with my happy.”

And then there was an awkward silence. Great. If only there was some way to get out of helping without looking like a raging asshole. The possibility of anything happening between me and Jean had been buried six feet deep, never to be spoken of again.

Review

Chantel Fernando is an author I have been wanting to read for quite a while, her books I will definitely be exploring further.

Take one charming lawyer who is extremely sexy, add a sassy, strong woman who runs and owns a pub and is going through a messy divorce then throw in a big dose of douchebag..her ex-husband and you have a recipe for one very entertaining story.

The character and scene descriptions are so clearly written it is very easy to visualise the story as you go on, it’s a fast-paced, easy to read one too. Yes..there is an emotional roller coaster but one worth riding! Many, many humorous scenes but also some heartbreaking ones and scenes that literally make you want to slap a particular character, mainly the ex-husband!

This story has a bit of everything really; sweet romance, ‘good and bad’ characters, humour, a touch of suspense and mystery, vengeance and second chances.

I totally recommend this story to everyone.

 Review

Another great read from the extremely talented RC Stephens. In this book we see Al getting away from it all after his best friend, Governor and boss steps down and moves cities for love. Caught in a snowstorm he is rescued by Sam, a young lady rancher with a feisty attitude and a loving spirit… both have a hard limit when it comes to relationships but neither can deny the instant attraction that has them both questioning their limits. This story is light-hearted and sweet it is a story of forgiving yourself and letting love in… Looking forward to more RC Stephens!!

I’m getting my ingredients ready to fry up some eggs when there’s a loud rasp at the door. One of my best friends, Kelly, has her nose pressed to the glass window. Her nose looks bright red kind of like Rudolph. Snow blows in circles all around her. I rush to open the door. “Kell, what on earth are you doing out of your house in this weather?” I chide. Kelly married her high school sweetheart, Gage, straight out of high school and works at the local supermarket. They have an eighteen month old son, Theo. Kelly is my age. It seems everyone in this town marries young and has kids young. I’m the exception.

“I heard you found a strange man out on the highway last night and brought him home,” she says holding a pan of something in her hands. She places it on the kitchen table and rubs her hands together. “Heard he drives a nice car too.” She looks to me expectantly. It takes a lot of self-control not to roll my eyes at her and half the girls in this town, even though I love them all. Everyone is always looking for a way out of Holston; the population is minute, which means the economy sucks. If you’re not exporting out of state, you’re not surviving so well. Our ranch has always fared well, but with the lack of rain these last number of years, we’re struggling too. It’s hard enough to feed ourselves let alone a bunch of cows.

“He was passed out in his car, Kell.” I huff. “I couldn’t very well leave him out there to die.”

“Is he hot?” She looks at me wide eyed and a little too excited. My head moves from side to side as I ask myself if Al is hot. Hot would be an understatement. His body is rock solid and gorgeous, and he has the face of a model. Not a skinny fashion model either, but that rugged kind of model that cologne commercials like to use. Al was all man that was for sure.

“Fucking gorgeous.” My cheeks turn hot at the thought of him.

Kell claps her hands together, all excited. “I brought warm apple pie. I hope he likes apple pie,” she says as if apple pie is the solution to me having a hotter than hell man passed out in my bed.

“Let me remind you that you are a married woman.” I smirk, just playing with her. She and Gage are tight. She’s been trying to play matchmaker for me since at twenty-three I’m the equivalent to old maid around here. I return to beating my eggs in the bowl before plopping them into a fry pan.

“You don’t need to remind me. You know I got you in mind. What does he look like?” she waits expectantly.

“Keep it down,” I hush her.

“He looks like a movie star, thick muscles, gorgeous face, eyes that burn your skin when he looks at you,” I say, frying my eggs. When I turn to Kell, she looks flushed.

“Holy shit.” She waves a hand in front of her face.

“You hungry?” I ask her.

“Hungry?” she repeats in a daze.

“Kell?” I call to snap her out of her daze.

“Huh? Tell me more,” she insists, not answering my question.

“I think he has a massive cock,” I add, and she melts into the chair at the kitchen table.

“Why can’t that shit happen to me?” she says, waving a hand in her face like she’s fanning herself.

“Kell,” I chide.

“How do you know he has a large cock?”

I walk toward her and whisper that I caught a glance at his morning erection when I was standing in the corner of the room.

“And you weren’t scared of him?” she asks.

I nod my head. “Trust me, if you see him, your first reaction won’t be fear.”

It was hate at first sight……

Affton

I hated Cable James McCaffrey.

He was entitled, spoiled, a user…and an addict.

He was out of control and didn’t bother trying to hide it.

He had everything anyone could want but still seemed miserable and lost.

Every move he made, every mistake he stumbled his way through, rubbed me the wrong way. However, I couldn’t stop myself from trying to save him from himself when no one else would. In the sweltering heat of the summer, Cable taught me that having it all means nothing if you can’t have the one thing you want more than anything else.

Cable

I was obsessed with Affton Reed.

She was rigid, uptight, and no fun. There was something about her innate goodness that called to me.

She acted like she was above all the normal faults and failures that clung to the rest of us like the scent of smoke after a fire.

I was infatuated with her, but that didn’t stop me from acting like she didn’t exist.

In the scorching heat of summer, Affton taught me that there is always a way back from the brink of despair. She showed me that the trick to having it all was realizing that it was already there, in my hands. All I had to do was hold onto it.

The road to recovery is full of twists and turns no matter who is in the driver’s seat.

Review

I really enjoyed this heartbreaking, messed up story of lost youth, innocents and addiction. This story starts out in the worst possible way and slowly but surely builds into making the wrongs in life right. In making changes from the person you were one that hurt the world around you selfishly. To a man that learned to love, trust and be honest with himself and others.

Cable was a spoilt boy that had the world and took it for granted. Used people and had vices that started to ruin him. After a crazy night lives were ruined and changed forever. Affton had tried to help but that was a catalyst in what took place on that night. Affton was a broke girl hurt by ber mothers addiction and death and wasn’t prepared to love another addict ever.

This book was my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed every word. An absolute recommended read.

Both are easy to like characters, Brett’s learning curve is at times quite humorous p, he really has no clue about relationships. Still, he is an endearing character, honest about himself and hot to boot! 🔥 Sophie has an inner strength that brings out her sassiness, which is fun too. Her family is a hoot!

The pace is a little slow at times but it is an easy to read story. There are some deeper issues, like grief and guilt, that are handled extremely well. There is resounding growth, not only in the lead character’s relationship but within Brett himself.

This is a feel-good story that does lift you up!

REVIEW

At the start of this book the author writes to her readers, it’s a letter of explanation but also one from the heart and certainly sets a special appreciation for the author and the story.

Rachel is on the run from a stalker who has caused serious consequences for her belongings and nearly her. Max and his twin brother, Rye, have always shared everything, including women. Determined to go it alone Max meets Rachel and is instantly smitten.

Such a smorgasbord of wonderful characters, from Mel who is sure there are aliens to Stella, a strong, caring woman. Max and Ryan are identical and yet their personalities are totally different, both you fall a little in love with and as the story progresses and you get to know them even better…you find they’ve well and truly stolen your heart. Rachel starts off as unsure of herself and what life will dish up for her. Her inner strength really sparkles in Bliss as does her sassy attitude.

The suspense factor in the story is just right and at times you find yourself about to bite your nails with anxiety for the characters. Likewise, the passion in the story is almost tangible and not just sexual either. That is hot, hot, hot but it’s more, there is a passion for friends, family, lifestyles, the town itself and even for aliens..well that’s really only one older sweetheart but he is extremely passionate about them!

Max’s hands slid down to cup his girlfriend’s perfect cheeks. He pulled her close and didn’t try to disguise the erection he was sporting. It had been days since he’d gotten inside her. It was starting to make him crazy.

“Hello, gorgeous,” he breathed as he leaned down to slant his mouth across hers.

Rachel softened against him and wrapped her arms around his neck. She didn’t protest as his tongue swept in to play with hers. He hauled her up so her feet were dangling. It was the only way to get her pussy where he wanted it. He rubbed himself against her. He knew it made him a caveman, but he wanted to mark her as his. He wanted her to get a tattoo on that perfect ass of hers that read Property of the Harper Brothers.

Max set her down. His brain went there all the time now. He couldn’t stop thinking about Rachel between him and Rye. “What’s for breakfast?”

“Pancakes and sausage,” she replied with a suspicious gleam in her eyes.

He kissed her forehead gently and went to sit down at the kitchen table. He was very careful since she was studying him like she was trying to guess what he would do next. He didn’t want her to figure out what he was thinking. He had more than one thing he needed to hide from her today. He schooled his features to express nothing but innocence.

“Oh, God, what are you thinking?” Rachel looked utterly horrified. “Who are you going to kill?”

“What?” Max asked, holding his hands up in confusion.

She rounded the table and leaned over. He couldn’t help but notice she wasn’t wearing a bra. If he leaned in a bit, he could see the curve of her breasts and the faintest hint of nipple.

“Eyes up, mister,” she ordered in what he’d come to think of as her “drill sergeant” voice. His eyes obediently came up. He’d learned when it was in his best interests to obey her immediately. His baby was one tough cookie, and he was man enough to admit he needed her to be that way. He would walk all over her otherwise. That would make for one boring relationship. Rachel kept him on his toes.

“Sorry, baby.” He would try to distract her with charm. He had some of that. He smiled and pulled her hand into his. He tugged her down onto his lap. “I can’t help it. I get distracted by your breasts. They’re pretty. And I’m really, really horny. We haven’t had sex in days. It’s killing me.”

She rolled her eyes and sighed. Her arms went around his neck. “You just had surgery. You haven’t even had the stitches out yet. The doctor said we should wait a few days.”

“It’s been almost a week.” He put a little whine in his voice. Maybe if she thought he was simply horny, she would forget her suspicions. It was imperative that she not figure out what he had done after she’d gone to sleep. “I promise I could be super still. I would lie perfectly still, and you could do all the work.”

She grinned. It did strange things to his heart. “That sounds tempting. I’ll call the doctor today, and I’ll see if we can get him to let you off the leash.”

She kissed his cheek. She got up and went to the stove, where she poured out pancake batter. Max relaxed.

She rounded on him suddenly. “You’re sure you’re not planning something terrible?”

She knew him far too well. He grimaced inwardly. This was where Rye would come in handy. Rye could distract her. Rachel was far too much woman for one man. He needed his brother because Max had figured out that a tag team approach was required when Rachel got saucy. But he was all on his own now. He didn’t like the feeling.

“Baby, I’m planning on doing some light work around the barn. I’m going to spend some time with Sunflower, and then I’ll have Rye drive me into Del Norte for my checkup. That’s my plan.” It was true. It was part of his plan. He didn’t mention the stop he intended to make.

Her eyes narrowed, and he wondered briefly if she could make that spatula into a weapon. He thought she probably could. Max sighed. He could make it into one, too. He could pull her over his lap and shove those boxers off her hips, then spank that pert rear. He wouldn’t hurt her. He’d simply get her bottom all pink and pretty. He’d rather use his hand, though.

“You have crazy eyes today, Max. What did you just think?” she asked breathlessly.

Rye stood in the doorway. He had on jeans and a T-shirt. His hair was still wet from his shower. “He was wondering how you would handle it if he pulled you across his lap and spanked you with your spatula. You should use your hand, Max. It would be better.”

Rachel’s mouth fell open. She looked between the two of them like she was trying to figure out what to say.

Max pointed at Rye. “He said it.”

Rye shrugged. “He was thinking it.”

“So were you.”

Rye’s face fell. Max saw him look down at the crotch of his jeans. “Damn it.”

Rye turned and walked back down the hall. Max knew exactly where he was going.

“What’s wrong with him?” She looked concerned as his brother marched off.

Max smiled broadly. Rye had done his job. She wasn’t thinking about his potential plans anymore. She set a plate in front of him.

“I guess he’s not hungry,” Max lied.

His brother was hungry, all right. He’d been hungry since the minute he laid eyes on Rachel.

Nat’s Review of Tempting Little Tease by Kendall Ryan

by Kendall Ryan
Genres: Contemporary Romance

A hot new standalone romance from New York Times bestseller, Kendall Ryan.

She’s the tutor I hired to teach me Italian.

She’s way too young for me, but she’s also gorgeous, bright and filled with a curiosity about life that I find incredibly refreshing.

It’s fucking adorable.

I’m old enough to know better, but this pretty young thing tempts me beyond belief. And for the first time in my life, I can see myself falling.

***
Is this what it’s like to be pursued by an older man? The complete confidence, the lack of expectations, the sincerity?

My God, it’s exhilarating.

Quinn Kingsley is totally unexpected. I’m moving to Italy in three weeks to teach English, and while I never expected something so real to develop between us so quickly, our chemistry is undeniable.

There’s something so sexy about this back and forth he and I share. Flirting with this man is like playing with fire, and I’m bound to get burned.

Io sono attratto da te. I’m attracted to you, he tells me.

But is our attraction enough to get us through the complications of a massive age gap and an international love affair?

Only one way to find out…

REVIEW

What a great read, from start to finish this book kept me entertained. It was light-hearted and very sweet. Quinn and Alessandra make a wonderful couple, the 16 year age gap no barrier when two people instantly connect like these two do! A short but completely satisfying novel… I need to go back and read the rest of this series as the Kingsley brothers are HOT!!

Donna’s Review of Hit Girl by Tia Louise

by Tia Louise
Genres: Contemporary Romance, Thriller/Suspense
Title: Hit Girl
Author: Tia Louise
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Thriller
Release Date: March 19, 2018
From USA Today bestselling author Tia Louise comes a thrilling tale of revenge.

My finest trick?
Convincing you I’ve forgotten…

Names on a list.
Faces in a crowd.
One little girl.

They told me to get over it.
I can’t do that.
I want them to pay.

Every.
Last.
One.
I really enjoyed this balls to the wall, no nonsense story, that had me gripped from the very first sentence. Molly spent her life living two lives and the secrets she managed to keep were just mind blowing and that was what mainly kept me so on edge and hooked.

Although this book was a tale of revenge it was also a really beautiful love story, that I just adored. I loved Molly aamd Joshua together and although Molly is strong, she needs him more than she knows and he is just perfect for her.

I read this book as a standalone and really didn’t even know it was connected to any other books. Which is great as nothing was lost at all. I really recommemd this really intriguing revenge story.
