Genres: Contemporary Romance

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes the final sexy standalone set in the Beneath world of New Orleans.

I used to believe there were lines in life you don’t cross.
Don’t lie. Don’t cheat. Don’t steal.
Until I learned people don’t always practice what they preach.
I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything.
Then I got the call no one wants, and I’m back in New Orleans.
What I don’t expect is for her to be here too.
Another line you don’t cross?
Don’t touch your best friend’s little sister.
She’s always been off-limits.
Too bad I don’t follow the rules anymore.

Wham. My heart slammed against my ribs as it sped up about twenty beats per minute.

The heat and delicious woodsy citrus scent radiating from his body did good things to me. Things that made me want to do very bad things to him. I wasn’t a seventeen-year-old virgin anymore. I knew my way around a man, but I had to admit, the hipsters in Cali had nothing on a homegrown Louisiana man like Rhett.

When he spoke, he leaned in so close that I could feel his breath on my ear. “You missed that shot on purpose.”

My gaze jumped from the sexy five o’clock shadow shading his jaw to his piercing green eyes.

“Wha-what are you talking about?” I smacked myself mentally when my old stammer kicked in. Of course he would cause it.

“That shot. You missed on purpose. I saw you adjust at the last minute. Why?”

I swallowed the saliva pooling in my mouth and decided to take the safest exit from this situation. Lying.

“Cue slipped.”

His eyes narrowed on me. “You’re lying and you’re terrible at it, just like you’ve always been.” He reached up and pressed his thumb to my left eyebrow. “You get a twitch right here.”

Oh my God. Rhett Hennessy is touching me. And what’s more . . . he knows my tell. He noticed me!

The fifteen-year-old inside me did a terrible cartwheel at the realization. Okay, more of a round-off. With a tumble in the grass to finish. Whatever.

But outwardly, I was trapped in that green gaze until he decided to let me go—or until I came to my senses.

I cleared my throat and sidestepped him. “Whatever you say, hotshot. I need another drink.”

Focusing on putting one four-inch heel in front of the other without biting it, I escaped to the table and reached for the whiskey glass I’d left behind, interrupting my brother and the waitress. They both stared at me as I chugged the contents.

I’d always wondered what it would feel like to have Rhett’s attention, and now I knew. In a word, it was . . . unnerving.

“How’s the game going?” my brother asked.

“Fine.” Keeping my answer short meant he couldn’t tell that I was lying. Heath wasn’t nearly as observant as Rhett.

“You winning?”

Thanking the Lord that Heath obviously hadn’t been watching, I shrugged. “I guess.”

He glanced toward Rhett and then back to me. “The sister I know and love doesn’t lose at pool. Ever. Even to Rhett Hennessy.”

I lowered the glass to the table and straightened my shoulders. “Like they say, things change.”

He nodded slowly. “That may be true about most things, Flounder. But you’re a pool shark and we both know it.”

Before I could respond, Heath’s attention jumped back to the waitress. I took another ten seconds to gather myself, also known as drinking offensively in my mind, before I crossed the floor to face off against my former obsession.

“You all right, Red?” Rhett asked.

“Don’t call me that. And I’ve never been better.”

His gaze dipped to my feet and dragged up my body. “I can agree with that statement.”

Whoa. Who is this guy with the innuendo? A glance at his empty whiskey glass told me he was drinking heavily as well. Was this the booze talking? Or was Rhett Hennessy not just noticing me, but noticing me?

Either way, I had to play it cool. Or at least pretend to play it cool, since it seemed I might fall short.

“Your turn, hotshot. Better not miss, because I’ll clear the table next time,” I said, but my cocky attitude backfired.

Rhett didn’t miss. He sank his balls and then the eight, ending the game almost as quickly as it started. He returned his cue to the rack and turned to face me, all traces of the earlier heat banked, his expression shuttered.

“Game over.”

What the hell just happened?

Review

Well all I can say is Bravo Meghan, what a way to end a series. I couldn’t possibly see how you would pull off this story but you more than pulled it off. You made this book the book for the series for me. This book had everything to it. But what I pulled out of the death and destruction was a power so great that it beat it all and that was love.

Rhett Hennessey was just alpha through and through and that just make me melt but Rhett was lost. So completely broken by betrayal that you couldn’t see him ever trusting anyone again. Ari was amazingly quirky and has such a brilliant mind although through the brilliance she sometimes doesn’t see what is right in front of her, spelling danger most of the time.

Rhett and Ari are a match that has been a long time coming and through both of there upset and betrayals they find a way to heal and mend each other. They both own up to mistakes and that their mistakes are the only ones they should feel guilty about.

I thoroughly recommend this fantastic book and series. Which I will completely miss and pine for but its done and this book is for sure one hell of a way to end it. Meghan March has firmly placed this book as one of my top reads for this year.

Review
I really enjoyed this really great steamy read. It was an easy flowing book, that all moved really fast but it did a little unbelievable and some what crazy in parts. But then again that’s the thing with good books they can be a little off the cuff and crazy but still great.

The characters are great and the chemistry that sparks between Porter and Frankee is completely hot and straight from the off they are just get it on. No sexual tension or anything. Which was a little surprising but not a bad thing. Like I said the story gets a little crazy and a few unexpected things occur but as soon as it’s all back on track. It’s just great.

I really recommend this really good read. I had a hard job putting this book down.

Frankee and
I stayed up until three in the morning. I couldn’t keep my hands off of her.
Not when she was wearing that sexy-as-fuck lingerie.
I’ve never
seen anyone wear anything like that. Sure, I’ve watched porn and seen it on
those women, but never on a real-life woman. And never one in my bed.
Frankee is
like my very own porno princess.
I gave her six orgasms last night—one an hour.
I’ve never done that before. Not that I don’t have the ability. I’ve just never
been inclined to.
“Frankee.”
She doesn’t
stir. Not even a little. I shake her shoulder this time. “Frankee. Wake up,
baby. I have to go.”
She rolls
to her back and slowly opens her eyes. “Someone fucked me into next week.
You’ll have to check back with me when it comes around to see if I can wake
up.”
“You don’t
have to get up, but I do have to go.”
“No. Don’t

At some
point during the night, Frankee washed off her makeup, and I’m seeing her for
the first time without cosmetics. It’s confirmed. She’s a natural beauty and
doesn’t need that garbage on her face.
“I wish I
could stay in this bed with you all day, but I promised Stout I’d help him move
his stuff to his new house today. I was supposed to be there already, but I
couldn’t bear to leave when you looked so beautiful in my bed.”
I already

“Wait a

Frankee
dashes to the bathroom, still wearing her porno princess attire from last

She returns
from the bathroom with her hair twisted into a topknot. I don’t know what it is
that makes that so damn sexy.
She wraps
her arms around my shoulders and lowers herself to straddle me on the bed.
“Kiss me before you go.”
Her mouth
is minty. And hungry, based on the way she devours my mouth and neck. “Is this
your plan for tempting me to stay?”
Her hands
are working to undo the button and zipper on my jeans. “No. This is.”

“Fine. If you don’t want to play me, I’m sure there’s someone in this bar who will.”

She rose from the bar stool and smoothed her dress down her thighs. I swore it looked longer at the cemetery than it did right now, inching up her toned legs. The shoulders and chest were sheer black lace, as sophisticated as could be, but the lace took on a sexier edge in the dim light of the bar. I’d lay money on her being the classiest thing this place had ever seen. And damn, what those heels did for her . . .

I ripped my gaze away from her ass to focus on her face.

Her lips flattened in obstinate challenge before she strutted toward the pool table. And yeah, I used the word strutted because there was no other way to describe how she walked in those stilettos now that her attitude was flaring.

Heads turned to follow her progress, and two guys jumped off their stools to follow her.

Oh, hell no. Not a chance, assholes.

I pushed off my seat and stalked toward her. Ari’s back was to me when I stopped behind her at the cue rack. She spun around, unaware of my presence, and smacked into my chest, a pool stick trapped between us. She sucked in a breath, jerking her head up.

“Sorry. Didn’t realize you were so close.”

Years ago, she never would have lost track of where I was if we were in the same room. The realization was a blow to my ego, although not unexpected. I no longer made the cut on her priority list, and that stung.

Rather than move and give her space, I reached around her to snag a cue off the rack, letting my arm brush her shoulder.

Ah . . . there it is. Her facial expression remained static, but her involuntary shiver gave her away. Maybe I’m not off the list completely.

I didn’t know why it mattered, but after the last few brutal days, I needed something good to distract me from the shit show that was my life. And there was no doubt in my mind that Ariel Sampson was everything good.

Her spine straightened and she bobbed around me, avoiding contact in favor of racking the balls and lining them up.

“Do you want to break?” she asked.

“Ladies first.”

Ari rolled her eyes and reached for the chalk. With her stick prepped, she leaned over the edge of the table, her ass jutting out and the hem of her dress riding up her thigh.

Lord . . . I groaned silently. This was torture.

Haven’t I been through enough? I tossed the question skyward and received no sign the big man had heard me.

I tore my gaze off her ass and scanned the bar. Mistake. My fist tightened around the pool cue as a reflex, but that didn’t mean I wouldn’t use it to smack every jerk in this bar back into line if they didn’t quit staring. Double standard? Sure. But I didn’t care.

With a step behind her, I blocked the most direct view and turned to glare at all of them. Thankfully, Heath’s interest was hooked on the waitress working our table. One by one, the gazes dropped away, and I turned back to Ari, marginally satisfied that they picked up what I was throwing down. Off-limits, assholes.

Ari cursed and stood up straight, leaning lightly on her pool cue. “Dammit. I had that shot.”

I scanned the green felt and found half her balls were missing. “Jesus, what were you doing? Trying to clear the table?”

Her nose went up in the air. “Trying? If I wanted to clear the table, it would be clear. It’s just angles.”

“Brainiac as always.”

Ari shrugged, but I caught a hint of a smile. “Didn’t you hear? It’s cool to be a geek now.”

I had no doubt that wherever she lived in California, she was exactly what was cool. Shit, she had every man’s attention in this bar.

“You were always cool in my book, Red. My turn.” Even though I wanted to wait for her smile, I chalked my cue and sank two shots before missing the third.

“Not bad.” Her nonchalant tone made me grin.

“I try.”

Her eyes finally locked on mine. “I succeed.”

Hell. Why was that statement so damned sexy coming from her lips?

She pushed off her pool cue and spun around to face the table again, her dress sliding up another inch as she bent over the table.

My dick pulsed against my jeans.

Heath is going to kill me.

Review
I absolutely loved this story of Landon and Evie, the highs and lows and everything in between. Ella James has created a truly wonderful romance with a real-life feel to it.

Evie is sixteen and in her final year of high school when her parents foster a boy, Landon. This is their story, starting as teenagers and then on in their twenties.

Told from both lead character’s points of view, the story develops and unfolds with the reader gaining an intimate insight into each character. Both are incredibly easy to relate to and likeable. The passion between the two is combustible yet it’s their emotional relationship that is outstanding.

This is a fast paced book with a solid storyline, I haven’t read the other books in this series but being stand alone stories I can go back and rectify this soon, which I will!

I fully recommend this to everyone!

Oh my God.
Someone needs to explain to me how I’m supposed to eat when I’ll be alone with
Porter in his condo. When I know for a fact that he’s going to kiss me. He’s
said as much. And there won’t be anyone around to keep us from doing a lot more
whatevering.
Porter
opens the door and catches me around the wrist as we enter the condo. He’s
going in for the kiss first thing.
He pulls me
close and then turns us so my back is pressed against the door. “I can’t wait
another minute for this.”
His hands
cup my face the way they did during our first kiss. Although it’s a repeat
move, it’s no less romantic this time around.
I quickly
lick my lips and Porter presses his mouth to mine before sucking my bottom lip
into his mouth and holding it between his teeth.
So hot and
sexy.
I place my
hands on his chest and the pec muscles I feel beneath the fabric are rigid.
This man works out. A lot. I would love to see all the goodies that are hidden
beneath this shirt.
We make a
game of biting and sucking each other’s lips. It’s fun and playful.
Until it’s
not.
Our kiss is
no longer teasing. It’s heated and demanding with increasingly harder hand
grips and squeezes. His hands move to my hips and he uses them to steer my body
to the sofa while kissing me en route. He walks backward and sits on the sofa,
leaving me to make my own decision about how I want to be positioned.
Beside him?
Across his
lap?
On top,
mounting him?
I place a
knee on each side of him and lower my body to straddle his. His hands move to
my hips and he grips the sides, moving them so I’m rocking against his hard
cock pressing against my crotch.
One of his
hands leaves my hips and comes up to wrap around my nape, pulling me down so
his mouth can reach the side of my neck. His mouth is sucking pretty hard. I’m
certain I’ll wear a love bite there for all to see. Not sure how I’ll explain
that one but I let him continue.
“Tell me to
stop and I will. Just say the words.” He’s talking about stopping but his mouth
is kissing and sucking and nibbling harder.
I grasp the
sides of his face and press our foreheads together. “I like what we’re doing.
Don’t stop.”
“I don’t
know your limitations.”
“I’ll tell
you when you’re there. For now, keep going.”
“Fuck…
Frankee. The way you make me want you… it’s irrational. Makes me lose all sense
of self-control.”
Porter
lifts my body and flips us so I’m beneath him. His face is pressed against the
side of my neck leaving kisses in its path. One hand slides under my shirt and
dips into my bra. He rolls my nipple between his thumb and index finger and it
instantly hardens. And it’s like a control center for everything between my
legs.
I want his
hands on me.
I want his
mouth on me.
I want him
on me, period.
I bend my
knee and bring my leg up so it’s wrapped around his waist. His body conforms
between my legs like two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that connect perfectly.
We just
fit.

This Glamour Anthology has a huge variety of troupes that certainly do entertain and put a very new spin on some very old tales.

Music Box Girl by Sierra Simone
An erotic version of The Twelve Dancing Princesses where nothing is taboo!

A Bedtime Story by Skye Warren
A modern day version of Sleeping Beauty but featuring the real life people including the mafia! This story grabbed me from the very beginning! Even though there is more to Jessica’s story in other books, this is truly a sweet romance.

RIPPLES by Aleatha Romig
The Prince and The Pauper Story
This is a such an engaging story and the suspense is extremely exciting. I have to admit there were plenty of times I wanted to reach into the story and punch Dexter!
Not having read any of this author’s previous books with The Rawlings characters, I aim to Recife that soon.

A Royal Mattress by Nicola Rendell
A Princess and the Pea story
Being lost in a blizzard after crashing her car, Lisa stumbled onto Dave’s land in need of assistance. This story has such terrific characters, all fun and appealing, especially Grandma Katrina! I’m definitely going to read more from this author, so funny and light!

In a Stranger’s Bed by Sophie Jordan
A Goldilocks story
Thea is visiting Scotland and when she meets Niall, a Scottish sheep farmer she gets more than she bargained for. Such a lovely romance told so well.

Broken Harp by Nora Flite
A Jack and the Beanstalk story
This modern day retelling is very cleverly plotted and its use of various parts of the traditional tale is fabulous. Jack is definitely all man and not an ounce of ‘boy’ to be found.

Red Hot Pursuit by A L Jackson
A Little Red Riding Hood Story
Another cleverly written take on an old fairy tale using many key things from the original but in a very unique way. Lil’ Redd and Broderick Wolfe are the two lead characters, what a hoot with the names.

Knot by Lili St Germain
A Rapunzel Story
A dark story fitting for this tale. Seraphina, born and raised in a tower by a despicable man. Xavier, a doctor with a dark side, meets Seraphina and their chemistry is flammable. I look forward to reading their series due to be released later this year.

I wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone.

I know because I met Gods gift to women in Vegas,
I pretended he was my husband to get rid of another man.
He took our fake marriage seriously and it became his
personal goal to consummate.
He spoke to me in French and I lied to him in German.
His laughter was addictive.
But I thought what happens in Vegas would stay in Vegas.
Until it didn’t.
Dr. Stanton turned up where I least expected and my lies came back to haunt me.
The attraction is palpable.
The secrets unchangeable.
I need him more than air.

Reviews

I honestly didn’t think I could fall harder for a Stanton more than I did for Joshua, but Cameron may have just taken to lead….

OMFG!!!! This book!! TL Swan is one of my favourite all time storytellers and she had me captivated again with this beautifully written story. The chemistry between Cameron and Ashley totally escapes the pages and sinks into your heart making you feel everything they go through as if you are living it with them.

I can’t tell you in words how much I love this story and these characters expect to tell you to freaking buy the book!!! You won’t regret it!

What a great book this was, Yep the name Stanton does something to me, but this time it isn’t the infamous Joshua that rocks our world it is Cameron the swoonworthy Dr that melts panties with a click of his fingers and a swipe of his tongue.

This story is brilliantly written and the shocks and secrets that unfold leave you stunned and quite frankly gobsmacked. I really didn’t see any of it coming. The clever way this story is told just hold you captivate. Will it be possible to forgive and forget. Can they move forward and look past things, will the trust ever return. Mmm you’ll have to read and see.

The chemistry between Cameron and Ashley was combustible, which is probably the best way to describe it. Although Cameron is a strong, demanding, hot as hell alpha. Ashley outshines them all with her no nonsense ways. Her take no prisoner attitude and for once Cameron’s and Joshua’s mother get told and it’s the part if the book that I just loved so much. It’s rare to see a female written like Ashley but she was the star of the show for me.

This book is a must, must read for me and a book I am sure to revisit a time of two. When I need a damn right dirty read, although the Stanton brothers are great competition for that role. If you do anything worthy this summer it will be to go grab this great book.

Vegas

Nightclub
I frown as
the man covered in perspiration clings to me once more, oh for heavens sake.
“Do you mind?” I frown as I rip my arm from his grip. The music is pumping and I
am waiting at the bar.
“Not at
all.” He slurs.
Oh god, my
eyes flick over to my group of friends and they all smile and raise their
glasses to me in jest. Damn them. This hens weekend away is reminding me why I
am eternally single. I fake a smile, bitches.
“I mean it
baby, let’s dance.”
I roll my
eyes. “I can’t, I’m waiting for someone, you should probably run along.”
“Who?” he
asks. Oh give up, pushy bastard.
A tall and
dark haired good looking guy walks past and I grab him by the arm, he frowns as
he turns back toward us. “This guy. “I smirk.
The creepy
guy frowns and curls his lip at his competition.
My eyes
scan up and down the guy I have just grabbed, oh, he’s gorgeous. I planned that
well.
The guy
raises an eyebrow in question as his eyes flick between us.
“This is my
husband.” I smile as I link my arm through his. He looks like a nice guy, I’m
sure he will save me.
The tall
guy raises an eyebrow in surprise and smiles. “And you are my …….wife?” He
questions as his eyes flick between me and them man.
I nod.
“Aha.” Oh boy, don’t blow my cover.
Tall dark
and handsome turns his gaze onto the man before us as he snakes his arm around
my waist. “You have met my gorgeous wife then?”
I narrow my
eyes as I listen to his voice, I think he’s Australian.
The creepy
guy narrows his eyes. “You don’t know him.” He sneers. “I don’t believe you.”
Tall dark
and handsome smirks and leans over and grabs the back of my head and pulls me
towards him, his tongue rims my lips and he sucks on my mouth, his tongue takes
no prisoners as it swipes deep into my mouth….what the frigging hell? His hand
drops to my behind and he squeezes the cheek in his hand. Oh my god, this was
not in the brochure.
He pulls
away and licks his lips as his eyes drop to my breasts and back up to my face.
I fake a
smile as my mind goes totally blank. “Huh.” My eyes flick back to the other guy
as I lick my lips, holy crap. What kind of kiss was that? “Umm.”
Tall dark
and handsome takes my hand in his. “Fuck off mate, she’s with me.” He then pulls
me by the hand through the crowd, what, wait, where are we going? My eyes flick
over to my friends who are all high fiving each other over my random kiss with
Mr Holy Hot. Should I just pull out of his grip? What the hell for, this guy is
freaking delicious. Oh shit, we arrive over to his group of friends and he puts
his arm around my waist and pulls my body close to his.
“Boys.” He
acknowledges his large group of friends. “You will be pleased to know I just
got married en route from the bar. Please meet my new wife.”
Their eyes
meet and they all shake their heads and laugh. “Hello.” They all smile. “Nice
to meet you.” One man replies as he shakes my hand.
I smirk as his hand tightens around my waist.
“About
time.” One guy says as he shakes his hand. “Congratulations mate, what’s your
wife’s name?”
His eyes
flick to me and he smiles sexily again. “Blossom.”
 I laugh out loud. “Blossom?”
His friends all look me up and down and smile
and then go back to their conversation as if this is a common occurrence.
His eyes
drop to my breasts again.
“My eyes
are up here.” I reply, he can’t even pretend not to stare.
He picks up
his beer and drinks it down. “So?”
I frown, of
all the nerve. “So, you keep looking at my boobs.”
“You
noticed?”
My mouth
drops open in. “Well, I’m not imaging it.”

What happens when that inner voice turns into a bully?

You’re fat.
Don’t you dare eat that.
You’ll never be a pretty as her.
You’ll never be as good as them.
You’re lazy, you’re stupid, you are disgusting.
You. Are. Nothing.
