Meeting him was a fluke. Dating him was a mistake. Watching him become a drug addict put me through hell. Running was my only option.

I’m running from my demons and when I find out she’s trying to escape her past, I know what I have to do.

One broken cop. One woman fighting for her life. A fragile love.

Sinister secrets that threaten to tear them apart.

They’ve been to hell. The hard part will be finding their way back together.

This book Is brilliant and I was completely hooked from the off. I spent the whole time reading this book in a constant emotional bubble. I can honestly say if it took one more twist I would have lost complete control.

I loved the characters. I loved how brave Bella was even though her and her daughter Lilah had been through so much and we’re completely scared and so broke. I really don’t know what to say about Jackson other than he was amazing, what a man, what a protector and what a hero. He was just brilliant.

This book is a great read that will keep you on your toes from the beginning.  I just loved it.

This is the first book I’ve ready by this author and I enjoyed it. Bella is broken and her life is in shambles. She’s at the point where isn’t sure how to stay alive and how to protect her daughter. She then unexpectedly inherits her grandmother’s home and things start to look up. She has a new neighbor friend and a friendly (and hot) detective across the street. She thinks her past is exactly that, her past. But it’s not. One thing leads to another and she soon realizes that her detective friend will be so much more. Jackson was a really good character. Strong, smart and protective. Him and Bella complimented each other perfectly.
I would def recommend this book. It reminds you to be strong and always move forward. Really great writing
